Dennis Lloyd Stilson, 82, a lifelong resident of Struthers, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his home.
Dennis was born on December 30, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Wilbur and Blanche (Norman) Stilson. He served in the U.S. Army.
Dennis dedicated over 30 years to working in the Mahoning Valley, initially at the Steel Mills before transitioning to his career as a tool and die maker, from which he retired.
Outside of work, Dennis was an avid football fan, with a special devotion to the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. In his free time, he found joy in fishing, a hobby that brought him much peace.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Shelley L. (Edward) Marapese of Struthers, OH; two grandchildren, Alex J. Marapese of Struthers, OH, and Tia M. (Jimmy, III) Zagorsky of Poland, OH; and two brothers, Ronnie (Renee) McCaman Sr. and Marky (Rosie) Stilson, both of Youngstown, OH. He is also survived by three nephews, Tommy (Sheri) Noble, Marky Stilson, and Nick Stilson; and four nieces, Tracey Noble, Michelle (David) Stoika, Dezera McCaman, and Cindy Santarelli.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Blanche Stilson; two brothers, Frankie Stilson and Dickey Stilson; and two sisters, Judy (Bob) Noble and Barb Wise.
As per Dennis’ wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
Arrangements are being handled by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street, Struthers, OH.
