Struthers - Dennis C. Shetter, Jr., 47, died August 30, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Dennis was born July 27, 1965 in Youngstown, a son of Dennis and Elizabeth (Deley) Shetter.
He was a 1984 graduate of Springfield High School and attended Northwestern College. He most recently had worked for Fallsway Equipment as an electrical technician and previously for Columbiana Dodge as a mechanic.
In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Izabella, having fun times with his nephews, Kevin and Cory Pekkanen, riding his motorcycle with his wife, his two dogs, Miley and Hannah, camping, and deer hunting.
Dennis leaves his wife, the former Kimberly Ann Pekkanen, whom he married October 1, 1994; his mother, Elizabeth Shetter of New Middletown; daughters, Christina Marie and Jennifer Lynn at home, Alyssa Shetter of Akron and Nicole (Anthony) Poirrier of Louisville, OH; sons, Joseph (Kristin) of Struthers and Ryan of Campbell; three grandchildren, Izabella Shetter and Mason and Nicholas Poirrier; two sisters, Bobbie Jo (Jeremy) Terwilliger of Youngstown and Deanna Taylor of Cameron, NC; and his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Marilyn Pekkanen of Struthers.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Poland, where family and friends will be received Wednesday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 2985 Center Road, Poland, Ohio 44514 or to the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, Ohio 44514.
