Dennis B. McKenney, 69 Youngstown- Dennis B. McKenney, 69, of 930 S. Hazelwood died Tuesday morning at his residence. Mr. McKenney was born February 9, 1935 in Pax, West Virginia, a son of Orland and Bernice Ferguson McKenney. He was a truck driver for Longbar Transportation for over 27 years retiring in 1989. He was also the owner and operator of D. Mack Television Repair Shop on Mahoning Ave. for many years. Additional to his work, Mr. McKenney was a ordained non-denominational protestant minister. He was also a musician and along with his brothers, formed the Denny Beck Orchestra. He was a Ham Radio Operator and his call letters were âa�A"KC8 AKKâa�A�. He loved flying and racing cars and was an excellent mechanic, building his own airplane race car. Mr. McKenney was especially known for his patience and strength and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife, the former Rita Bezilla whom he married November 26 1956 he leaves three daughters, Diane Caruso and Denise Luther both of Austintown and Kathleen Sallustio of Youngstown; three sons, Kenneth McKenney of Webbersville, Michigan, Dennis McKenney of Youngstown and Kelly McKenney of Austintown; three sisters, Nancy Gay of Austintown, Carla Beck of Pennsylvania and Juanita McKenney of Florida; one half-sister, Betsy Murphy; one brother David McKenney of Poland; eight grandchildren, Maria and Brandon Caruso, Joseph and William McKenney, Dennis and Kevin McKenney and Michael and John Sallustio. Besides his parents, one sister, Betsy McKenney and two brothers, Alfred and Orland Jr., preceded in death. There are no calling hours or funeral. Arrangements are by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
