Delores E. Theis

Boardman-Delores E. Theis, 85, died Friday evening, March 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Delores was born July 27, 1930 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Rocco and Elizabeth Boros Lombardo.

A lifelong resident of Boardman, she was a 1948 graduate of Boardman High School. Delores previously worked as a sales clerk for Strouss Dept. Store and became a dedicated homemaker upon her marriage.

She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman and a founding member and past president of the Lake Forest Garden Club. Delores enjoyed boating on Lake Erie and was a member of the Conneaut Boat Club and Nauti Gals. Mrs. Theis loved spending time with her grandson, Troy, flower gardening, cooking, baking, and a day out shopping.

Her husband, Robert Henry Theis, whom she married June 20, 1953, preceded her in death on April 11, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Bob Holton) Theis of Boardman; her son, Robert (Ann) Theis of Poland; her beloved grandson, Troy; granddaughter, Jessica; great-grandchild, Angie; her sister, Lynn (Don) Carano of New Hampshire; and her extended family.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4-5:45 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman. A funeral service will follow on Monday at 6 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bob Quaintance officiating. Private interment will take place on Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.
