Poland - Delores K. Brown, 81, died May 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Brown was born January 18, 1936 in Petersburg, a daughter of John W. and Mildred Fry Dey.
She was a 1954 graduate of Springfield Local High School. Delores attended Ohio University from 1954-1955. She was a secretary at Springfield Schools for 22 years, retiring in 1998.
Delores was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown as well as the O-My-O Business Women and the L.O.S.N.A. Oriental Shrine.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and taking cruises, spending time with friends and family, and following Cleveland sports teams.
She was a winter resident at Orange Harbor Park, FL for the last 19 years.
Her husband, Curtis E. Brown, whom she married April 21, 1956, died November 17, 2015.
She is survived by three sons, Curtis A. (Jackie) Brown of New Middletown, Craig Lee (Denise) Brown of North Benton, and Jeffrey S. Brown of Monaca, PA; six grandchildren; Curtis, Jeffrey, Bradley, Brent (Ashley), Jessie Jo (Nick), Jay Robert; three great-grandchildren, Rileigh Anne, Nicholas and Maria.
Besides her parents and husband, Delores was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Green.
Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 10857 Main St. in New Middletown, Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Klinker officiating. Interment will follow in the Petersburg Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cunningham-Becker, 270 N. Main St., Poland and Thursday from 10-10:45AM at the church.
