Struthers - Deborah Dill Tedrow, 56, of Struthers, died Saturday evening at Community Health Systems at Northside after a battle with cancer.
Deborah, affectionately known as Debbie, was born October 13, 1954 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Robert and Jean Blutcher Dill.
A life-long resident of Struthers, Debbie was a 1973 graduate of Struthers High School. For 35 years Debbie was employed at PHD Manufacturing in Columbiana. Debbie's second career was volunteering for the students of the Struthers School District. She was very active in the Struthers Band Boosters where she served as assistant treasurer. She spent her time with the band boosters volunteering wherever she was needed, such as the high school concessions, chaperoning for football seasons, band camp, competitions, and field trips. For 10 years she was very active in the Struthers PTA, and served as President for the Center Street School and one year at the Struthers High School. Debbie was a member of the Parkview Rebeka Lodge # 719 in Canfield, the Struthers VFW Post 3538 Auxiliary and a former Struthers Odd Fellows.
She leaves her husband, Kenneth Tedrow, whom she married January 4, 1975; two daughters, Ashley (Jeremy) Wortman of Youngstown and Kenile Tedrow at home; two sisters, Margaret Nicalek of Campbell and Rebecca (Benjamin) Young of Baytown, TX; two brothers, Jack (Gerri) Dill of Campbell and Jim (Judy) Dill of Struthers; one grandson, Mason Wortman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home with Pastor Lori Valenzisi officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
