Petersburg - David Eugene Will, 62, died Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Will was born December 24, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of Carl and Mildred (Barchie) Will.

He was a 1968 graduate of Boardman High School. Mr. Will previously worked for Youngstown Iron and Metal, Metalico, and retired in 1998 from General Motors. He also owned his own business in North Lima, Dave's Auto Service for many years.

He had a love of cars including raceing cars and NASCAR . His pride in joy was his 1971 Chevelle which he took to cars shows and won awards in many states.

Mr. Will was a proud Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War from August 11, 1969 until being honorably discharged August 10,1971. He was member of the 1st Infantry at Ft. Hood Tx. Receiving numerous medals including the Sharpshooter Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and Marksman.

In addition to his father, Carl, of Florida, he is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Little, whom he married March 6, 2008; his 1st wife Linda Will of Florida, daughter, Kristy (Andrew) Vargo of Canfield; son, Chad (Amanda) Will of New Middletown; brother, Thomas (Peg) Will of Canfield; three sisters, Jan Daley of Columbiana, Patricia Will of Calcutta, and Linda (David) Skillman of Columbiana; four grandchildren, Kailah and Karah Vargo and Dakota and Hayden Will; step-daughter, Misty Fox of Salem; and three step-sons, Justin, who helped care for him in his last few months, Daniel and Anthony Zimmerly, all of Salem.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Market Street, Boardman, with full military honors to follow.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 4996 Market Street, Boardman.
