David L. Malysa, 76 Poland- David L. Malysa, 76, of 8542 Van Drive, died Monday morning at Beeghly Emergency Services. Mr. Malysa was born June 11, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a son of Joseph and Victoria Gratz Malysa. He was raised in Minneapolis and lived in various places before coming to Poland in 1966. A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Malysa served on the USS Rainier during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Malysa was a machine technician and then manager for Smith Corona Marchant in Struthers and retired as regional manager in 1991 after 23 years of service. He loved the outdoors, enjoying drives through the countryside and walking in the woods. Mr. Malysa was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown. Besides his wife the former Betty Lohr, whom he married July 3, 1954, he leaves three sons, David (Jacqueline) Malysa of Denver, Colorado, Steve (Lynda) Malysa of Chesterfield, Indiana, and Ken (Debbie) Malysa of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Jeanne (Delmar) Martineau of Outing, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Randy, Brian, Kimberly, Tiffany and Jeremy Malysa and Samantha Daily-Malysa; and four great- grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Malysa was preceded in death by one son, Edward J. Malysa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Friends may call Thursday, from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM at the church. The family request memorial tributes take the form of contributions to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
