Youngstown - David D. Lipkovich, 64, of Youngstown, passed away July 5, 2011 at Wade Park Veteran Hospital.
David was born October 6, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of Martin and Mary Bindas Lipkovich.
He was a graduate of Chaney High School. After graduating, he joined the United States Navy and served during Vietnam from 1965 until being honorably discharged in 1969. David worked in maintenance at Walmart in Austintown for over 15 years, retiring in 2008.
He was a member of AMA Club in Youngstown. David enjoyed camping, the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, and especially his dog, Stewart, who will especially miss him.
David leaves his wife, Millie; children, Myshel (Jed) Detelich, Jeffrey Lipkovich, Danielle (Michael) Pfund, Dennis (Jerilynn) Timms, Donald (Jeannie) Timms, Marilyn Mowery, and adopted son, Kenny Plants of Youngstown; three brothers, Ronald (Sandy) Lipkovich, Jerry (Kathy) Lipkovich, and Jim (Judy) Lipkovich; sister, Dr. Kathleen Lipkovich; grandchildren, Justine, Jessa, and Jase Detelich, Zach and Shelby Timms, Lil Donny "Six Shooter" Timms, and Christine and Stephanie Mowery; and brother-in-law, Denny Wiseman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Wiseman.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
