David "Jimmy" Hibbard, 65, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018. He was born October 23, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of David J. and Kathryn (Licht) Hibbard and had been a lifelong area resident. Jimmy was a 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and had been employed by Astro Shapes Aluminum, the Sheet and Tube Company, and the Amweld Corporation. Jimmy was a member of The Church of Christ in Struthers and the Youngstown Men's Bowling Association.
An avid sportsman, Jimmy loved following the Cleveland Browns and Indians, fishing and bowling, achieving a perfect "300" score as a member of the Youngstown Men's Bowling Assocation, where he held the position of league champion. Jimmy had a great love for the dogs in his life along with his passion for music.
Surviving Jimmy, are brothers, Donald of West Carrollton, Brian (Renee) of Boardman, a sister, Bonnie Koroczynsky of Poland; nephews, Derek Hibbard, Justin and Joshua Hibbard, and Michael and David Koroczynsky; great-nephew, Joseph Hibbard; and great-nieces, Joelle Redmond, Isabella Hibbard, and Dorie Hibbard, his former wife, Darlene Hibbard and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Besides his parents and grandparents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his nephew, Christopher Hibbard and brother-in-law, Mike Koroczynsky.
Jimmy was dedicated to his family, friends, dogs, and God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to offer their special thanks to the staff at Ivy Woods Manor for their compassionate care.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 5th at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
