Youngstown - Daniel Joseph Woodward, 70, of Youngstown, died early Monday morning, June 25, in Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.
Daniel was born December 25, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, a son of Daniel and Esther Hambelton Woodward.
A 1959 graduate of East High School, Daniel attended College of Advanced Traffic and Transportation in Youngstown, specializing in Rail and Truck Transportation, Food Warehousing and Distribution from Cornell University, and General Transportation Review from Sinclair College in Dayton. Daniel was a Manufacturer Representative for numerous companies including J.V. McNicholas Transfer in Youngstown and Linear Films in Tulsa, OK.
Dan was honored to be Prom King of his high school class and was also inducted into the East High School Hall of Fame. He was a member of Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity and Certified Professional in Materials Management, Cornell University.
Dan leaves one son, Jason (Lisa) Woodward of West Bloomfield, MI; one daughter, Amy Truesdale of WV; three grandchildren, Jack and Carter Woodward, and Zoe Truesdale; two sisters, Susanne DuPuis of Shepherd, MT and Margaret (Larry) Singer of Salem; and one brother, Daniel (Mathilda) Woodward Sr.of Struthers, OH.
Besides his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Wright.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, with Rev. Roger Overmyer officiating.
Friends will be received Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
