Daniel R Sabelli

Daniel R. Sabelli Sr, 89, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 in Assumption Village. He was born in Youngstown on December 21, 1926 to the late, Phillip and Philomena Sabelli. He is the last of his siblings, James Sabelli, Louis Sabelli and Lena Sabelli Marciano.

He married Rosemary Bacha Sabelli on May 19th 1949 whom he was with for 63 years, until her death on September 25, 2011.

He leaves his two children, Daniel Sabelli and Ronald Sabelli; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Daniel will always be remembered as a devoted husband and a loving father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Sabelli Ziobert, who passed on December 15, 2014.

Daniel was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church. He was employed at United States Steel Company for 37 years as a motor inspector and also spent 12 years in maintenance with WYTV in Youngstown. Daniel proudly served in the United States Army during WWII where he was stationed in Japan. He enjoyed cooking, working on his home and serving the community. He loved the Cleveland Indians and his pets.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 5pm at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 3-4:45pm at the funeral home.

The family asks that memorial donations be made, in his name, to Hospice of the Valley, 5195 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
