Daniel Louis Mauch

Columbiana - Daniel Louis Mauch, 81, of Columbiana, formerly of Canfield, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center. Mr. Mauch was born January 16, 1927 in Youngstown, a son of Louis and Laura Coy Mauch. He was a 1945 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and worked as a food salesman in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. He was a member of Saxon Club and was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Mauch was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He leaves his wife, the former Rita Gessner, whom he married June 22, 1946: a son, Richard (Lynn) Mauch, Sr. of Ellsworth; a daughter; three brothers, Jack Mauch of Deep Haven, Minnesota, Kenneth Mauch of Hubbard, and James (Eileen) Mauch of Austintown; two grandchildren, Tracie Mauch of Ellsworth and Richard (Erin) Mauch, Jr. of Franklinton, NC; and a great-grandson, Wilson Daniel Mauch of Franklinton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Mauch. Daniel's wishes were to have no calling hours. A memorial service may be scheduled at a later date.
