Daniel Emanuel Korby, Sr

Poland - Daniel Emanuel Korby, Sr., 80, of Poland, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 in the Louis Stokes Medical Center, Brecksville. Mr. Korby, Sr. was born November 12, 1926 in Lawrence County, PA, a son of John and Barbara Smith Korby. Mr. Korby was a graduate of Lowellville High School. He worked as a Pipefitter for Panelmatic in Youngstown. Mr. Korby was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and VFW Post 7600 and 3538. He was also a United States World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Korby's wife, the former Mary Brinsko, whom he married in March of 1948, died in 1999. He leaves two daughters, Carole Carney of Poland and Margaret Layton of Columbus, Georgia; one son, Daniel E. Korby, Jr. of Edinburg, PA; two sisters, Helen Guilkey of West Middlesex, PA and Barbara Cracraft of New Middletown; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul; five brothers, Jack, Andrew, Charles, James, and Robert; and his sister, Grace. There are no calling hours or services.
