Daniel Frank Jaric- 83 Poland- Daniel Frank Jaric, 83, of Poland passed Thursday afternoon, July 5, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center surrounded by his family. Daniel was born May 19, 1924 in Carbon, PA, a son of Matt and Mary Uhran Jaric. He was a life-long area resident. He attended Jeanette High School in Pennsylvania. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in Japan during World War II. Daniel was a structural ironworker out of Local 207, retiring in 1980 after 30 years. He was vice-president of the Ironworkers in the 1960âa�a��s during the time they had one of the first ironworker apprenticeships in the country. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Poland, St. Theresa Center, V.F.W. Post 3538, and the Croatian Lodge 504. Daniel enjoyed golf, fishing, working on El Caminos, his sweets and ice cream, and scratch-offs which led him to be on Cash Explosion. His greatest joys were his children and grandchildren and loved to watch them participate in their sporting events. Daniel leaves his wife, the former Mary Lou Ekoniak, whom he married October 29, 1955; a son, Daniel (Toni) Jaric of New Springfield; a daughter, Mary Lisa Jaric of Austintown; a sister, Ann Felder of Jeanette, PA; two grandchildren, Kacie Leigh and Dean Matthew Jaric; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by two brothers, Emil and Matt âa�A"Dudeâa�A� Jaric. Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel and 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Msgr. William J. Connell officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lowellville. Friends will be received Sunday, from 4 -7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel. Condolences may be sent at
