Daniel Alan Ayres

March 28, 1963 — March 30, 2016

Our most devoted and loving husband, father, brother and friend, Daniel Alan Ayres, age 53, of Poland, Ohio, earned his angel wings on March 30, 2016. He was born on March 28, 1963 in Belleville, IL. Daniel was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Korea and Washington DC as a Military Police Officer. Together with his family, and throughout his 11 year military career, he was stationed in many locations throughout the United States and in Germany. After September 11, 2001 Daniel joined Homeland Security as an Air Marshal. To Dan, there was no such thing as a stranger - only a friend that he had yet to meet. His passion for family, friendships, Texas style BBQ, Alabama & Patriots football, togetherness and fun, will live on in everyone who knew and loved him. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kimberly Ann of Poland, OH; sons, Joshua Alan, 26, Dustin Alan, 21, and Chance Alan, 12; daughter, Grace Ann, 9; brother, Steven (Linda) Ayres of Beeville, TX; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patsy and Ricky Smith of Austin, TX; sister-in-law, Sherri (David ) Fossati of Houston, TX; a niece, nephew and close friends. Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland is taking care of the arrangements. Friends and family may visit Poland Village Baptist Church, 79 Hill Dr. Poland, OH 44514, on Saturday, April 2, from 1-3 p.m. with a memorial service officiated by Pastor Brian J. Ethridge to follow at 3 p.m. Close family and friends would like to suggest that any gifts take the form of contributions to assist Daniel's family with expenses.
