Dana Calvin Moore

Dana Calvin Moore, 81 Struthers- Dana Calvin Moore, 81, of 77 Harvey Street, died Sunday evening at Forum Health Northside Medical Center after a brief illness. Dana was born July 20, 1924 in Struthers, a son of Earl F. and Marie Taylor Moore. He lived in Struthers all of his life. A 1942 graduate of Struthers High School, Dana enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in World War II from 1942 until 1946. After the war Dana returned to Struthers and was employed by the P&LE Railroad. He retired as clerk after 30 years of service. His wife the former Ruth Katz whom he married October 6, 1967 died November 22, 2002. Dana leaves two sisters, Phyllis Wilson of Cincinnati and Rosemary Emery of Tidioute, Pennsylvania; one brother, Neal Moore of Struthers; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Dana was preceded in death by one sister, Francena Codrea and two brothers, Earl and Arthur Moore. Funeral services will be Thursday, 1:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
