Dan P. Macejko

Dan P. Macejko, Sr. 89 Boardman- Dan P. Macejko, Sr., 89, of The Greenbriar formerly of Moore St., in Struthers died Tuesday afternoon at the nursing home. Mr. Macejko was born August 21, 1914 in Filbert, Pennsylvania a son of Joseph and Mary Handzely Macejko. He moved to Struthers from Pennsylvania in 1923. Mr. Macejko owned and operated Macejko Brothers now known as Macejkoâa�a��s for 44 years retiring in 1980. During World War II he was in the Battle of the Bulge, serving as a member of the Army 101st Airborne Division. He was a 1932 graduate of Struthers High School, a member of Holy Trinity Church and the VFW Post #3538. Besides his wife the former Alma E. Parker, whom he married November 4, 1941 he leaves two daughters, Martha Biskup of Pembrooke Pines, Florida and Phyllis Swan of New Cumberland, West Virginia; one foster daughter, Mary Jean Graham; three sons, Dan P. Macejko, Jr., of Newport News, Virginia, Donald W. Macejko of Canfield and Paul P. Macejko of Lowellville; four foster sons, Mike and Bill Smith, Joe Humphries and Sean Gardner; two sisters, Rose Macejko and Edna Vargo both of Struthers; two brothers, Steve and Ed Macejko both of Struthers; Eight grandchildren, Kim Biskup, Amy Emmons, Keith and Billy Jo Brown, Victor Divito, Paul Macejko, Molly and Jake Macejko and three great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, one daughter, Alma Brown, one son, Robert Macejko one grandson, William Brown and two brothers, Atty Theodore Macejko and Joseph Macejko preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Friday, 9:30 am at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
