Dale Robert Stratton

Poland - Dale Robert Stratton, 60, died Friday afternoon, July 14, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center from a pulmonary embolism.
Dale was born July 26, 1956 in Salem, a son of Robert and Bassha Lee Keen Stratton.
He attended Salem Schools until the sixth grade and completed his education at Boardman High School, graduating in 1972. Dale was employed by the US Postal Service as a mail carrier and delivered mostly in Poland. He retired in 2012 after 33 years of service.
In his spare time, he loved looking for treasures and antiques at flea markets and auctions. Dale also enjoyed manicuring and landscaping his yard. He will be remembered as an old soul who was caring and always willing to help others. He loved his family and always looked forward to visits with them.
Dale is survived by his mother, Bassha Stratton of Boardman; his two sons, Derrick and Dennis Stratton, both of Boardman; sister, Pamela Lynne (John) Lenz of West Middlesex, PA; and brother, Bert Walter (Phyllis) Stratton of Canfield.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5-6:45 p.m. at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
