Struthers - Clyde M. Hazlett, Sr., 76, of Struthers, died Sunday afternoon at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House after short illness. Mr. Hazlett was born January 13, 1931 in Youngstown, a son of Issac and Nellie Hazlett. He worked as a crane operator at Republic Steel for over 29 years retiring in 1987. Mr. Hazlett was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was a member of various golf and bowling leagues in the area. His wife, the former Loretta Nedostup, whom he married March 30, 1951, died October 27, 2006. He leaves four sons, Kenneth Hazlett of Cleveland, Michael (Sandra) Hazlett of Andover, Clyde (Mary) Hazlett, Jr. of Struthers, and Carl (Tami) Hazlett of Warren; one sister, Virginia Colucci of Austintown; nine grandchildren, Brittany, Eric, Nicole, Kendra, Rachel, David, Roger, Melissa, and Missy; and eight great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Hazlett was preceded in death by an infant son, Clyde, three brothers, Jackie, Ralph and Herb, and one sister, Verna Pelar. It was the wishes of Mr. Hazlett that there would be no calling hours or services. A private committal service will be held at St. John Cemetery.
