Born November 23, 1924 in Cambridge, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Theresa (Szuhay) Szoke.

Clara was a 1943 graduate of Scienceville High School. On November 27, 1949, she married the love of her life, Elmer Boda. They welcomed their children and were later blessed with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clara and Elmer shared 25 beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 1975.

In her early years, Clara worked for many years as a seamstress, displaying her love of sewing at Singer Sewing Machine. She later worked for fourteen years at Wittenauer Pharmacy until her retirement in 1994. An active member of Poland Presbyterian Church, Clara served as Deacon and would often be found cooking many meals for the congregation and festivals for the church. She was also a member of the Friendship Circle and the Order of the Eastern Star - Miriam Chapter. Clara enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable garden, sewing, and cooking.

Above all, she cherished her moments being a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kind, gentle and giving soul will be missed by those who have known her.

Clara is survived by her children, Joan Gresham of Lake Park, NC, Bill (Mary Beth) Boda of Indian Trail, NC, Linda (Bob) DeLost of Poland, OH, and Elmer (Diane) Boda of Waxhaw, NC; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth Szpak, Eleanor Zoky, and Charles Szoke, Jr.
