Christopher Jacob Zets

Poland - Christopher J. Zets, 43, of Poland, formerly of Canfield, died unexpectedly Monday morning, May 29, 2017 at his residence.

Chris was born December 11, 1973 in Youngstown, a son of Michael Zets and Barbara Berletchick Zets-Guzell.

A 1992 graduate of Canfield High School, Chris received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from YSU in 1996. Chris was a Financial Controller for Falcon Transport Company and presently for Comprehensive Logistic. He was a former member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Canfield.

An avid muscle car enthusiast, Chris was also a skilled drummer who loved the band RUSH. He enjoyed gardening and creating a welcoming home for his daughters. Chris was a devoted and doting father, a loving son, and brother. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chris leaves his father Michael; his mother Barbara and stepfather Stanley Guzell of Poland; his two daughters, Madison and Taylor Zets of Canfield; brother, Brian (Kathy) Zets of New Albany, OH; uncle, Daniel (Nancy) Berletchick of Marietta, GA; and two great aunts, Dorothy Marik of Boardman and Betty Fisher of New Springfield, OH.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stephen and Margaret Liptak Berletchick.

A prayer service will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Church also in Poland with Msgr. William Connell officiating. Interment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.

Friends will be received Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
