Youngstown - Christopher James O'Malley, 35, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his home.
Chris was born May 31, 1982 in Plano, TX, the son of Jan Auman O'Malley of Poland, OH and Brian (Theresa) O'Malley of Plano, TX.
Chris graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 2000 and was a member of its marching, symphonic, and jazz bands. After high School, he attended and graduated from The Western Reserve Police Academy.
He loved writing songs and poetry and enjoyed playing in a local band. Chris will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness towards other people and animals.
In addition to his parents, Chris leaves behind a sister Erin (John) Smith of Poland and a niece, Eliza Smith. He also leaves a large and loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ohio and his aunt and uncle in Texas.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Betty Auman, Deloriss Meade, and Philip O'Malley, along with his uncle, James O'Malley.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service celebrating Chris' life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Chris' name to the St. Vincent DePaul Society , PO Box 224, Youngstown, OH 44501.
