Christopher M. Goddard

Christopher M. Goddard, 28 Poland- Christopher M. Goddard, 28, of Shawbutte Street died early Saturday morning at his residence after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Chris was born June 21, 1974 in Youngstown and was the son of Gene and Julie Ammon Goddard. He was a life-long resident of Poland. He was a 1992 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. He attended the University of Akron and Kent State University where he was a senior studying Biology and Conservation. He would have graduated December 2003. Chris was Vice President of Abilities Unlimited at Kent State University and traveled frequently to The San Francisco Zen Center to study. Besides his parents at home he leaves one sister, Carrie Goddard of Seattle, Washington and a dear friend Vanessa Santiago of Lorain, Ohio. Memorial services will be Tuesday, 7:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. There will be no calling hours. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Muscular Dystrophy c/o St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44501 and the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Trail, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
