Columbiana - Christopher J. Cashbaugh, 44, formerly of Denver, Colorado, died March 17, 2015 at the Hospice House in Poland after being diagnosed with cancer one year ago.
Christopher, affectionately known as "Chris," was born March 30, 1970 in Youngstown, a son of John and Carol Ferreri Cashbaugh.
He was a graduate of South Range High School and received his bachelor's degree in business and finance from Youngstown State University. In his early twenties, Chris relocated to Denver, Colorado and worked as a very successful stock broker for twenty plus years. Chris chose to return home to his father, John, who resides in Columbiana, so he could care for him in his final months.
As a teenager, Chris picked up the hobby of archery and discovered he had quite a passion for it. He competed at various archery shoots, winning many trophies and awards throughout the years. He also enjoyed fishing, bicycling, and following NASCAR and professional football.
He is survived by his father, John Cashbaugh; sister, Sharon Klemm; paternal grandfather, Arthur Cashbaugh; maternal grandmother, Bernette Ferreri; and uncle, David Ferreri.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ferreri Cashbaugh; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Cashbaugh; and maternal grandfather, Nicholas Ferreri.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7435 Westview Dr., Boardman. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
