Christine E. Seefried

Boardman - Christine "Tina" E. Seefried, 57, died Saturday morning, November 19, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Christine, affectionately known by family and friends as "Tina," was born October 12, 1959 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Howard and Rita Byers Prater.

A lifelong area resident, Tina was a 1978 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. In her earlier years, she worked for Jewel Mart and most recently for the former Sparkle Market in Boardman, where she worked for eight years in the deli.

Tina had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed her companionship from her cat, Vela. In her free time, she also liked to do seek and find word searches.

Tina is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Seefried, whom she married May 15, 1982 at St. Mary's Church in Youngstown; her son, Thomas (Erica) Seefried of Boardman; two grandsons, Jacob and Benjamin Seefried; three sisters, Mary Riley of Boardman, Belinda Smith of Boca Raton, FL, and Lisa Kosco of Hubbard; brother-in-law, Bob Riley of North Jackson; her best friend, Cheryl DeGeorge of Struthers; and a host of very special nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral, 8536 Market St., Boardman.

A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
