Christine Hermes

Boardman - Christine Hermes, 79 of Boardman, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Hospice House. Mrs. Hermes was born Sunday, April 7, 1929 in Alibunar, Yugoslavia a daughter Joseph & Maria Schwemlein Schwarz. She was a homemaker, who loved sewing, knitting and most of all spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Michael Hermes, whom she married Sept 20, 1952, one son Michael J. Hermes of Poland; one daughter, Christine (Michael) Skeens of Boardman, a brother, Joseph (Elizabeth) Schwarz of Fairview Park, 4 grandchildren, Michael Hermes of Boardman, Donald Hermes of Struthers, Aaron Skeens and Ryan Skeens both of Boardman and one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Hermes of Boardman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Wilsbach. Funeral services will be held at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11:00, where family and friends will be received from 10:00 - 10:45.
