Christine V. Ambrosia, 87 Edinburg- Christine V. Ambrosia, 87, of Ambrosia Road., died Wednesday morning at her residence. Mrs. Ambrosia was born August 11, 1918 in Youngstown, a daughter of John Lucas and Julia Ann Svetlovich Duris. She was raised in Poland and moved to Edinburg 66 years ago. She was a member of St. James Apostle in New Bedford and was a homemaker. She was a member of Christian Mothers at St. James and First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Her husband Joseph D. Ambrosia whom she married December 23, 1938 died January 19, 1997. She leaves three daughters, Doris (Robert) Reichert of Campbell, Ohio, Shirley DiRosa of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and Carolyn (John) Ruehle of Edinburg, Pennsylvania; one son, Joseph E. (Michele) Ambrosia of Edinburg, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Rose Brink of Portland, Oregon and Judy Trolio of Lowellville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joseph Jr., JoDee, Angelo, Daniella, Cory and Cassie and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, two twin sisters, Irene Mary and Mary Irene Duris and three brothers, John, Andy and Rudy Duris preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville and 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
