Boardman-Chester A. "Joe" Trimble, 84, died Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 at the Greenbriar in Boardman.
Mr. Trimble, affectionately known as "Joe," was born July 9, 1930 in Cookport, PA, a son of Chester and Maxie Henry Trimble.
He was a graduate of Green Township High School and moved to the Youngstown area 62 years ago to work in the steel mills. He was employed by Youngstown Sheet & Tube/LTV, retiring after 27 years of service. After retirement, he worked part time as an attendant for BP America.
He was a former member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Youngstown.
Joe leaves his wife, the former Lois Ann Leamer, whom he married December 5, 1953; his son, Jeffrey A. Trimble of Hermitage, PA; three nieces, Carol, Luann, and Roberta; three nephews, Richard, Harold, and Roger; and numerous grand nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Murray and Betty Patrick; and a brother, Robert Trimble.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main Street, Poland, where family and friends will be received Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mr. Trimble's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
