Struthers - Chester W. Pearson, 75 died August 23, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital, Boardman Campus.
Mr. Pearson was born April 21, 1940 in Altoona, PA,a son of Chester and Delores Marchdola Pearson.
He was a 1958 graduate of Balboa High School in Panama and went on to attend Penn State College. Chester worked for the Panama Canal Commission, where he was Marine Traffic Control Supervisor for 21 years. Chester was a member of St. Luke Church, where he was in the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed reading, playing cards, bowling, bingo, movies, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Shver, whom he married Feb. 23, 1991; his children, Alex (Sylvia) Pearson of Austin, TX, Gustave (Thelma) Pearson of San Jose, CA, Craig (Clarissa) Pearson of Hawaii, Louanne (Jose) Chu of Republic of Panama, Denise (Dennis) Monbarren of Shreve, OH, and Sharon (Greg) Redarsky of Boardman; one brother, Tom (Rayna) Pearson of El Paso, TX; and two sisters, June (Fred) Toto of Youngstown and Carole Fay of Youngstown; and seven grandchildren, AJ, Raquel, Adrian, Abigail, Guillermo, Milena, and Kristen.
Besides his parents, Chester was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and James Pearson.
Services will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, Friday at 10:00 AM with Fr. Joseph Fata officiating.
Friends and family will be received Friday 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM at the St. Luke Catholic Church.
