Poland - Cheryl Ann DeVincent, 47, of Poland, died early Tuesday morning at her mother's residence, after a courageous three year battle with brain cancer. Cheryl was born July 21, 1961 in Youngstown, a daughter of Vincent and Erma Arditi DeVincent. A 1979 graduate of Wilson High School, Cheryl received her Masters Degree in Nuclear Medicine from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She was a traveling Nuclear Medical Technician. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown. Besides her mother, Erma DeVincent of Poland, she leaves two sisters, Lorraine (Donald) Cavanaugh of Struthers, and Angela (Jeffrey) Davis of Columbus; five nieces Nicole (Bill) Spiker, Amanda Cavanaugh, Celeste Cavanaugh, Elizabeth Davis, and Katherine Davis; three nephews, Donnie Cavanaugh, Vince Cavanaugh, and Benjamin Davis; one great-niece, Grace Spiker; and one great-nephew, Blake Spiker. Cheryl also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins who were devoted to her. Besides her father, Cheryl was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph Arditi and Bertha and John Vitileia; paternal grandparents, Pasquale and Celeste DeVincenzo. Cheryl also was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Tippi, who gave her much love and joy, was her friend, and traveling companion. Funeral services will be held at Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Nicholas Shori officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and Friday from 9:00 until 9:45 a.m. at the church. Condolences may be sent at
