Struthers - Charlotte Ann Scott, 65 of Struthers, died Sunday morning, May 1, 2016 at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.
Charlotte was born March 16, 1951 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Ann Maximov Sanders.
Raised in Campbell, Charlotte was a 1969 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. In the summer of 1969 Charlotte began her working career at Kmart where she worked for 26 years. In 2005 Charlotte worked at Gorant Candy, and most recently as secretary for St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
Charlotte's most treasured role in life was that as a wife, mother, and grandmother. In the summer of 1969, Charlotte met the love of her life, her co-worker at Kmart, Frank R. Scott Jr. It was at the parking lot of Kmart that the proposal took place. They were married May 12, 1973. Together they made their home in Struthers and raised their three children, Frankie, Rosanne, and Gregory.
Charlotte found joy working in her flower bed and walking the streets of Struthers. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and enjoyed hosting her family in her home especially for the holidays. She was raised at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Campbell, and was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers.
Besides her mother, Ann of Campbell, Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Frank, of almost 43 years; two sons, Frankie (Ashley) Scott of North Ridgeville, OH and Gregory (Aline) Scott of Poland; one daughter, Rosanne Scott of New Wilmington, PA; three grandchildren, Lucas, Matheus and Mary-Kathleen Scott; one sister, Carol (Frank) Shiminsky of Campbell; one brother, John (Dianne) Sanders of Poland; and sisters-in-law, Lauretta (Tom) Cebula of Campbell and Margaret (Chris) Kohl of Struthers.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, John; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Rose Scott Sr; sister-in-law, Sr. Kathy M. Scott L.C.M; and two infant daughters.
A prayer service will be held Thursday, 9:15 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Fr. Bernard Bonnot officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
