Charles R. âa�A"Budâa�A� Schiffhauer, Sr. Lowellville- Charles R. âa�A"Budâa�A� Schiffhauer, Sr., passed away Saturday, March 20, at St. Elizabethâa�a��s Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, at 11:00 AM at the Struthers Presbyterian Church, where he has been a member in recent years. He was born October 24, 1920 in Pittsburgh, a son of Frank and Katherine Guckel Schiffhauer, coming to Lowellville in 1952. A warehouseman for Isaly Dairy Co., and Federal Wholesale Co., Mr. Schiffhauer retired in 1982. As a faithful member of the former First Presbyterian Church of Lowellville, he served with distinction as an Elder, Lay Minister, Sunday school teacher and Superintendent. A ember of the Struthers Presbyterian Church, he was a member of its choir and Gioras Sunday School Class. Mr. Schiffhauer also provided dedicated service to the Youngstown Radio Reading Service, which honored him in 1998 as Volunteer of the Year. Mr. Schiffhauer was, foremost, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves his beloved wife of 62 years, Louise Ellen Hunt; his daughters, Barbara L. (Keith) Gustafson of Amelia Island, Florida and Patricia L. (Ted) Olson of Lowellville; his sons, Charles R. Jr. (Debbie) of Boardman and Bruce M. of Olmsted Falls; his grandchildren, Christopher (Sharon) Schiffhauer of N. Scottsdale, Arizona, Rebecca Olson of Lowellville and Jenna Schiffhauer of Olmsted Falls and his sister, Catherine Hunt of Pittsburgh. Preceding Mr. Schiffhauer in death were his parents, his brother Frank Jr., and his infant daughter, Virginia Ellen. Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville and from 10-10:45 AM Wednesday at the church where the Rev. Steve Breazier will officiate at the 11:00 AM service. Interment will follow in Lowellville. The family request memorial tributes to take the form of contributions to the Struthers Presbyterian Church, In Memory of Mr. Schiffhauer, 110 Poland Ave., Struthers, Ohio 44471.
