Charles A. âa�A"Chuckâa�A� Martin, (Papa), 72 Austintown- Charles A. âa�A"Chuckâa�A� Martin (Papa), 72, of 338 DeHoff Drive, died suddenly at St. Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Room. Mr. Martin was born October 21, 1930, in Youngstown a son of the late Willis S. and Adeline Webster Martin. He was a 1948 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, and a lifelong area resident. He was both an U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran, serving in both Hawaii and Turkey. While in the Army he taught English to Turkish citizens. Mr. Martin was a member of Christâa�a��s Church in Boardman, and a former member and Elder of the Wickliffe Christian Church in Austintown. He was also a member of the Teamster Local # 92 in Canton from which he retired and a member of the Teamster Retirees Local #377 in Youngstown. He was a devoted grandfather, attending many of his grandchildrenâa�a��s activities. He was known for sending cards and notes to family and friends, his vast knowledge of geography, love of wild birds and nature and his gentle manner. Besides his wife the former Beverly Jean Ross, whom he married April 12, 1958, he is survived by a daughter Melanie and son-in-law Donald âa�A"Teeâa�A� Sutton; and two sons: Bradley A., and Ronald A., all of Austintown; a brother: Robert P. Martin of Phoenix, AZ; two step-sisters: Marilyn Samuels of Boardman; Margaret Brenneman of Knoxville, TN; and a step-brother: Hank Siegel of Salem; and two grandchildren: Stefanie âa�A"Steffieâa�A� and Zackary Sutton both of Austintown. He is preceded in death by one son Jeffrey A. Martin. Memorial services will be held 2PM, Saturday at Christâa�a��s Church in Boardman. Friends may call at the church from noon until 1: 45 PM.
