Charles A. Martin, 51 Youngstown- Charles A. Martin, 51, of 1621 Poland Ave., Youngstown, died early Tuesday morning at his residence of complications due to Multiple Sclerosis. Mr. Martin also known at Chuck was born February 14, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of John E. Sr., and Ruth L. Smith Martin and lived in Youngstown most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Wilson High School and was serving in the United States Army for 6 months when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Even though being challenged with MS, Mr. Martin believed in taking charge of his own life. He graduated from the Youngstown Business College with a degree in accounting, was an active member of the YMCA and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Besides his mother at home, he is survived by five brothers, John E. Martin of Youngstown, Robert J. Martin at home, Daniel R. (Madeline) Martin and George Martin all of Struthers and David A. (Ruth Ann) Martin of Hurst, Texas; ten nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jacquelyn, David Jr., Jessica, John, Shannon, Christine, Kristen, Daniel and Malorie and 6 grand nieces and nephews. His father John and sister-in-law, Renee Martin preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers where friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4300 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44505.
