Charles Mangine, 69 Sacramento - Charles Mangine, 69, of Sacramento, CA, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Mangine was born December 30, 1937 in Youngstown, a son of Anthony and Mary Marcone Mangine. He was raised in Lowellville and lived in the area until 1968. He was a 1955 graduate of Lowellville High School and received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Youngstown State University. For over 48 years, he was a construction project manager. Mr. Mangine served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 until 1962 and was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for his civil service in Vietnam. Mr. Mangine leaves his wife, the former, Donna Strickland, whom he married September 9, 2006; one daughter, Terri (William) Cupp of Mineral Ridge, OH; one son, David (Michelle) Mangine of Canfield; one brother, James (Lois) Mangine of Youngstown; one stepdaughter, Valerie Sherman of Sacramento, CA; two grandsons and three granddaughters. Mr. Mangine's parents preceded him in death. Private funeral services were held Friday, June 15, at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, with Father Philip Rogers officiating.
