Charles Edward Hull, 78 BOARDMAN- Charles Edward Hull, 78, of Shepherd of the Valley died Monday morning. He was born in East Palestine June 4, 1924, a son of Joseph E. and Blanche Doll Hull, and was a life long area resident. Mr. Hull was a 1942 graduate of Chaney High School and attended Youngstown College of Engineering . He was a Structural Ironworker Local 207, where he was secretary. He was a Western Star F & AM #21 and was Scottish Rite 32nd Degree. He was a member of the Aut Mori Grotto, where he was arena director for the circus for 15 years and Captain of Patrol for 30 years. He was also a member of the Greeters, Key Club, Poland Breakfast Club, Old Timers, and the Ironworkers Retiree Club. Charles served in the United States Navy Sea Bees and the Sea Bees Reserve, where he was Senior Chief for 39 years. He belonged to the Sea Bees Vets of America Island X8, Fleet Reserve Association, VFW Post 2799, American Legion 472, and the Parkinsonâa�a��s Support Group . He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Struthers, where he served as deacon. He leaves his wife, the former June Grant, whom he married July 15, 1947; one daughter, Charleen ( John ) Tyger of Boardman; two sons, Gary E. ( Michele) Hull and David L. (Charlene) Hull both of Boardman; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margarite Klingensmith and Beverly Hull. Funeral Services will be Thursday 10 AM at Christ Lutheran Church Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where there be a Masonic Service at 8:30 PM and Thursday 9:00- 9:45 at the church. Memorial tributes may be given to Christ Lutheran Church, 250 Sexton Street, Struthers, OH 44471.
