Charlene "Char" Cole, 68, of Poland, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
She was born in Youngstown on March 1, 1946, a daughter of the late Roger and Charlotte Sheely Andre.
A graduate of Struthers High School, Charlene resided in Poland for the last five years and prior to that, spent 20 years in East Palestine. She was employed as a delivery driver for 39 years, first with her uncle at C. Barber and Sons, then Susson's, CarQuest and most recently, GPI. Charlene was a member and past president of the Eagles Aerie #2415 in New Waterford. She enjoyed fishing, camping, picnics, playing cards, feeding her birds and squirrels, working in her flower beds and loved her dog deeply. Charlene leaves two sisters, Dianna (Sam) Allen of Boardman and Sally (Baxter) Grossen of Columbiana; her brother, Roger (Kay Vernon) Andre of Florida; four nephews, two nieces, 11 great nieces and nephews; and one great great niece. Charlene will be sadly missed by her friends, Shirley Wood, Carol Smith and Randy Weber.
In honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
Charlene was generous to the end, giving the gift of sight through eye donation. Memorial donations may be made in Charlene's name to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
