Cecil Eldred âa�A"Mickeyâa�A� Menold, 76 Boardman- Cecil Eldred Menold, 76, of Beeghley Oaks Nursing Home, formerly of Struthers, died Sunday evening at the nursing home. Mr. Menold affectionately known as Mickey was born July 28, 1929 in Sharon, Pa., a son of Cecil Sr., and Ruth Edna Bates Menold. He came to Youngstown in the 1930âa�a��s and to Struthers in 1956. He served in the United States Army, in the Korean Conflict from December 1945 until December 1951. He later served in the Ohio National Guard for 19 years. Mr. Menold was an electrician for Ohio Edison for 11 years retiring in 1990. He had also worked as an electronic technician for the Ohio Turnpike for 15 years. He was a member of St. Paulâa�a��s Catholic Church in New Middletown and a former member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. He was a former member of St. Nicholas Senior Citizens, Holy Name Society and Infant Jesus of Prague. He was a member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the American Legion Post #888. Mickeyâa�a��s first wife Margaret Sedzmak whom he married August 26, 1956 died March 19, 1990. He is survived by his second wife Patricia Bovenzi Blangero whom he married September 27, 1991; three daughters, Marisa (Don) Menold-Bryson of Durham, N.C, Marcella Weaver and Marla (Zach) Seimers all of Seattle, Washington; one step-daughter, Elaine (Vince) Carchedi of New Middletown; three step-sons, Rick (Cheryl) Blangero of New Middletown, Tom (Gayle) Blangero of Poland and Harry (Michelle) Blangero of Boardman; two brothers, Ronald (Deanna) Menold of Florida, Alan (Kathy Menold) of Akron; eighteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Mickey is preceded in death by four sisters, Elaine Conti Adrienne McMahan, Judith Ann Elisco and Gloria Vrabel; and two brothers, Howard, And Richard Friends may call today from 5-8 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
