Struthers - Cecelia N. Quinn, 80 of Struthers, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mrs. Quinn was born January 3, 1931 in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Catherine Walsh Needham.
Cecelia was a 1949 graduate of Struthers High School, and attended Youngstown College. Ceil worked as a Secretary for the Youngstown Sheet & Tube and an Administrative Assistant for the Youngstown and Mahoning County Library System for over 25 years, retiring in 2000. She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Cecelia enjoyed traveling, visiting with her grandchildren, and baking. She was famous for her bread, rolls, and pies. Ceil enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, who meant the world to her.
She is survived by Charles Quinn, whom she married September 15, 1951, two daughters, Elizabeth Quinn of Homestead, PA and Margaret (Tim) Hileman of Tampa, FL; three sons, Chas (Christine) Quinn of Peoria, AZ, Michael (Christine) Quinn of Canfield and Sean (Ann) Quinn of Santa Monica, CA; a special niece Kathryn Needham of Canton; Nine grandchildren; two sisters Catherine Conrecode of Stow and Margaret (John) Obendorfer of Stow, a brother, James Needham (Doretta) of North Carolina.
Besides her parents, Cecelia was preceded in death by her son, Bryan C. Quinn, and two brothers, Robert and Thomas Needham.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 4-7 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, and Saturday from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. where the prayer service will be held at 10:15 am
Funeral mass will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers with Fr. Bernard Gaeta officiating.
