Catherine "Kay" Urdea, 86, of Poland, died Monday afternoon at her residence.
Kay was born November 13, 1925 in Struthers, a daughter of George and Sophia Klutz Tabak.
A graduate of Struthers High School, Kay worked as a bookkeeper in the Payroll department of Trumbull Industries in Warren and retired in the year 2000.
Kay was a member of Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, its' Altar and Rosary Society, and the Byzantine Pairs of the church.
Kay leaves her husband, Thomas, whom she married 65 years ago on September 7, 1946; two daughters, Gail (John) Walsh of Boardman and Mary Lynn (David) Smercansky of Poland; and three grandchildren, Christopher (Chrystie) Walsh, and Jeffrey and Ryan Walsh.
Besides her parents, Kay was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Michael Tabak; and one sister, Mary Snyder.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland where the Parastas will be held at 5:15 p.m.
The Panachida will be held Friday 9:15 a.m. and the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at Infant Jesus of Prague Church with Fr. Burke officiating. Interment will follow at the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
