Catherine M. Spay

Catherine M. Spay, 89 Struthers- Catherine M. Spay, 89, died early Monday morning at Ivy Woods Manor. Mrs. Spay was born August 7, 1915 in Struthers, Ohio, a daughter of Michael Stav and Elizabeth Tremko. She was a member of Saint Nicholas Church in Struthers and the Jednota Club. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Joseph S. Spay Sr., whom she married January 16, 1937, died October 3,1993. She leaves four sons, Robert (Joann )Spay of Akron, OH, Thomas J. ( Sue ) Spay of Iowa, David J. ( Karen ) Spay of Struthers, and Joseph Spay Jr. of Texas; a sister, Ann Knapp of Struthers; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Phillips. Funeral services will be Thursday 12PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 12:30PM at Saint Nicholas Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
