Catherine E. Nivert âa�" 95 BOARDMANâa�"Catherine E. Nivert, 95 of Beeghly Oaks, formerly of Struthers, died Wednesday morning. Mrs. Nivert was born in Leisenring, PA on November 18, 1910 a daughter of Valent & Anna Mumrick Granchie, and was a life long area resident. She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Church, in her early years she tended to the duties of Father Hennessey, she also was a member of its choir, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was past president on the Senior Citizens Ladies Auxiliary local 2162, a member of the Polish Shrine, and the Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Her husband Stephen Nivert whom she married May 15, 1929 died April 25, 1970. Mrs. Nivert leaves two sisters, Sophie Granchie, Sue Bola both of Poland; six grandchildren, James (Regina) Filbert of Boardman, Marilyn (Donald) Gilliland of West Middlesex; Robert (Janet) Filbert of Poland; Edward (LuAnn) Filbert of Rome, KY; John (Dina) Filbert of Philpot KY; Marie Hicks of Suwanee GA; Thirteen great-grandchildren, and Nine great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, and son-in-law Clara & Edward Filbert,; 4 Brothers, William Granchie, John Granchie, Joseph Granchie, Rev. Fr. Method, OSB, and three sisters, Ann Pavlik, Mary Hutira and Dorothy Trevis. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-8 at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Prayer services will be held at 10:00 am Monday morning at the funeral home, the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
