Campbell - Catherine "Kit" McCleery, 90, of Campbell, formerly of Youngstown, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Hospice House. Mrs. McCleery was born March 4, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of William and Sarah Teague Weber. A 1936 graduate of the East High School, Mrs. McCleery worked as a sales associate for JcPenney's for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. McCleery was also a member of the Garden Club in Hubbard, the Italian Mother's Club in Struthers, and the former LeDonna Club. Her husband, William T. McCleery, Sr., whom she married June 24, 1939, died August 26, 1983. She leaves her brother, Edward (Claudia) Weber of North Lima; her daughter-in-law, Patricia McCleery of Campbell; four granddaughters, Danette (Michael) Bailey of Ravenna, Renee (Dave) Rodeheaver of Columbiana, Jean (Duane) McMahon of Barberton, and Catherine (Travis) Green of Campbell; two grandsons, William (Lori) Welsh of Columbiana and Lester (Rose) Welsh of Youngstown; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. McCleery was preceded in death by her son, William T. McCleery, Jr.; a step-daughter, Doris "Sonny" Dawson; two grandsons, Jimmy Yekel and Richard Yekel; five sisters, Elizabeth Mauck, Jessie Burcsak, Margaret Weber, Helen Miller, and Rose Weber; and three brothers, William, Charles, and John Weber. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Hospice House for the wonderful care given to Mrs. McCleery and her family. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends will be received Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Please visit
