Struthers - Catherine Rose DelBoccio, 69, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024 at her daughter's home in Akron.
She was born April 24, 1954 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Dominic and Constance (Traino) Iaconis. She graduated from Struthers High School.
Catherine wore many different hats throughout her lifetime. She worked as an administrative assistant for a few different medical practices, but also took on the most important role as mom when her children were born.
Never one to mince her words, you knew exactly what she was thinking, and if you didn't, she'd tell you with no hesitation. She enjoyed being around others, whether it be while playing bocce with the St. Anthony's crew, hosting a book club or bible study. She was a headstrong, determined, and stubborn lady who forged her own path. She never did anything halfway and would put her heart and soul into whatever she put her mind to. She even would tackle projects that others would be afraid to try if it meant making something beautiful.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Christian DelBoccio of Holland and Melissa DelBoccio of Akron; her grandchildren, Olivia, Dominic, Amelia, Arabella, Giovanni, and Anthony DelBoccio; her sister, Rose (Doug) Gray of Poland; her longtime best friend, Deborah Ann Gallagher of Struthers; and her loyal canine companion, Zoey.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, followed immediately by a memorial celebration of life beginning at 5:30 p.m., officiated by Deacon John Terranova.
