CAROLYN L. ROGERS, 82 POLANDâa�"Funeral Services will be held Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church for Carolyn L. Rogers, 82 who died Sunday evening at the Assumption Village. Carolyn was born in Lowellville, Ohio on November 4, 1923, the daughter of Robert K. & Anna A. DeOto Delisio. She moved to Poland in 1954 and to Struthers in 2004. She was a 1941 graduate of Lowellville High School and she also graduated from the Youngstown Business Gollege. Prior to her marriage she worked for the G. M. McKelvey Company and the Mahoning County Auditorâa�a��s Office. Later she worked at the Southside Hospital and the Youngstown Radiology Consultants. Her husband, Philip E. Rogers, whom she married at Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville on October 5, 1946 died on December 8, 1997. She and her husband were charter members of Holy Family Parish in Poland. She was a member of the KC ettes of Poland as well as the Ursuline Sisters Century II Club. She leaves two daughters, Karen (Ronald) DeSantis of Dunedin, FL and Sister Regina Rogers, OSU, General Superior of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, Canfield, One son. Fr. Philip Rogers, pastor of St. Nicholas Parish, Struthers, one son-in-law, Steven Matune of Sandusky, OH, three granddaughters, Carrie (Tim) Sullivan of Cincinnati, OH, Beth (Ross) Gillespie of Worthington, OH, Christina DeSantis of Dunedin, FL, one grandson Lt. Ronald DeSantis, USN, of Jacksonville, FL, one great-grandson, Casey Sullivan of Cincinnati , one sisterSylvia (Peter) Direnzo of Gates Mills, OH and three brothers Robert (Regina) Delisio of Girard, OH, Eugene (Betty) Delisio of Poland, OH, and Ernest Delisio of Mundellin, Ill. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret L. Matune in 1989, on son, Mark on 1974 and one sister, Teresa Peluso in 2005. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 5, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, in Poland. Donations may be made to the Ursuline Motherhouse, 4250 Shields Rd.
