Carolyn June Giblin

Carolyn June Giblin, 89, of New Middletown, died Saturday afternoon July 7, 2018 at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown.

She was born December 25, 1928 in Youngstown, a daughter of Donald and Dorothy Davis and had been a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to pursue a career in Radiology at Southside Hospital and had worked as a technician at Carfaro Hospital in Youngstown.

She married William Charles Giblin Sr. on February 3, 1951. He died in 1976.

She leaves her daughter, Shelly (Nick) Nicoloff with whom she had made her home the last fifteen years; her grandchildren, Heather (Stephen) Rapp, Ronald Snyder, William Charles Giblin III, David (Laurie) Nicoloff, and Kristine (Andrew) Young; five great-grandchildren, Ali, Zach, Elliott, Jason, and Marissa. She also leaves another great-granddaughter to arrive in October. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Deborah Giblin.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Charles Giblin Jr.

Services will be held 6:15 p.m. Wednesday July 11, 2018 at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512 where friends may call from 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Following the service there will be a dinner at the Becker Family Center at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Masternick Memorial for their loving care and compassion. Thanks also to Hospice of the Valley for their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions be made in the form of donations to the Dorothy Day House, 620 Belmont Avenue,Youngstown, Ohio.
