Poland - Caroline Leason, 86 of Poland, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Leason was born February 29, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of Louis and Anastasia Oregulan Stefanic, and was a life long area resident.
She was a 1942 graduate of Jackson Milton High School, and she attended the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Mrs. Leason was a member of Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.
She worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years, working for St. Elizabeth Hospital and for Doctors Memmeris, Calder and Grossman.
Her husband Michael Leason whom she married August 28, 1954 died March 14, 1984.
She is survived by her son, John Leason of Poland, and numerous cousins, neices and nephews.
Besides her husband, and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Stephen Stefanic, and two sisters Betty Leason and Ann Hruska.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland, Poland, where the Parastas service will be at 6:00 PM. The Panachida service will be Tuesday at 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am at the Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr Alexis Mihalik and Rev. Christopher Burke officiating. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery in Campbell.
