Carol J. Wilt

February 4, 1937 — May 15, 2015

Struthers - Carol J. Wilt, 78, of Struthers, died Friday morning, May 15, 2015 at Hampton Woods. Carol, and her husband Dale, who passed away May 12, did everything together so it is only fitting that they enter into Heaven together.

Carol was born February 4, 1937 in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Margaret McAllister Ripple.

Carol's greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she took great pride in taking care of her family. Whether it was accompanying her husband, Dale, as he performed his music locally or nationwide, vacationing with her family to Topsail Island, holiday gatherings, or just simple family visits, Carol loved being surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her memories will always be cherished by her family and those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Tom) Krestel of Struthers and Patty (Andy) Wanca of West Mifflin, PA; one son, Dale (Lisa) Wilt Jr. of Boardman; brother-in-law, Ray (Dolores) Wilt of Struthers; five grandchildren, Nicole (Dan) Caldwell of Boardman, Amber Wanca of Pittsburgh, April (Marco) DiNunno of Coraopolis, Eric (Brittany) Krestel of Struthers, and Audrey Wanca of Pittsburgh; and four great-grandchildren, Maceo and Leo DiNunno, Zac and Alex Caldwell.

Besides her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Thomas Ripple.

Friends will be received Monday from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home. Funeral services for Dale and Carol will follow immediately with Pastor James Berkebile officiating. Interment will be at Poland Riverside Cemetery.

Due to the lovely floral arrangements received for Dale's calling hours, the family requests that floral tributes not be sent for Carol. They know in their hearts what was received for Dale is also in Carol's memory too. The family requests any Memorial Tributes may take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Dale and Carol by the staff at Hampton Woods and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
