Carlene Francis

Carlene Francis, 50 Las Vegas- Carlene Francis, 50, died Saturday November 2, 2002 in Summerlin Hospital Medical Center after a seven year battle with cancer. Mrs. Francis was born June 10, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida a daughter of Carl Collins and Esther Rusu Connolly. She has lived in Las Vegas for the past twenty five years. She was raised in Youngstown where she graduated from Rayen High School in 1969 and was trained as a dental assistant at Choffin Vocational School. Mrs. Francis was an entertainer working with her husband Richard Francis, known by his stage name Dick Franco, a world famous juggler. Initially they performed their act with various circusâa�a��. They have worked in Paris, Tokyo, London and other major cities of the world. They have performed on cruise ships and most lately at major hotels in Las Vegas. She was a member of the International Church of Las Vegas. Her parents and her grandparents the Reverend and Mrs.George Rusu all of whom had a great influence in her life are deceased. She leaves her husband Richard; a daughter, Noelle Francis both of Las Vegas; a sister Sandy and brother in law John Wilt of Peninsula, Ohio and two brothers, Randy Shumate of Tennessee and Dan Shumate of Las Vegas. A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday November 16 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland where friends may call from Noon until 12:45 PM.
